I know thre are probably alot of threads regarding the same thing, but I have a of a more complicated situation... I'll save your time and I won't ramble, I'll just give you the facts. We flirt, we get close, etc. she knows how I feel about her, and she absolutely loves it. When she first found out, we had a good talk about it, ending in she didn't feel the same way. After that, she acted alot diffrent in person, she would hardly even look at me, but when we talkedon the phone, or through the internet, she seemed perfectly normal. I eventually got sick of it, and told her I was over her, so she would stop acting like this. She just recently found out that I lied to her, and I've been in love with her this whole time, it turns out that wasn't even the reason she was acting weird. The day later (yesterday), she suggested we should hang out at her place. I assumed it was to tell me that she had romantic feelings for me also, but later that night, I found out she liked a guy named Nathan. I knew she had liked him in the past, but she had said she was over him. She just loves the fact that I love her so much. For example...I'm one of those guys who likes a bit of poetry. She knows they're about her, and she loves it when I read them to her. I even learned how to play our song on the piano for her. I really need help here, I just love her so much, she makes it seem like she has mutual feelings for me, but if we ever talk abou it, she says sh doesn't. Her liking another guy isn't a whole big deal, I just don't want her to get hurt. I want to be with her, but I want her to be happy too.

FYI We were friends, long before I had these feelings for her. I'm not pretending to be her friend just because I have feelings for her. We are the best of friends, we talk about everything. I wouldnt stop being her friend just because she doesnt feel the same about me, I just want her to be happy.

Do you have any idea how many girls out there would LOVE to meet a guy like you, but no, you willingly relegate yourself to the Friend Zone. Why? well...shes just so...amazing you know? She's everything I'm looking for. We think alike, we have the same intrests, we do stuff together....just everything. I've tried to move on...even went out with another girl...but I couldnt stand being with someone else. Just...ugh...I hate myself for loving her so much...I do...but I can't stop...

I think a lot of time people idealize a person or an idea to the point where they are blind to the opportunities around them. Focus on some of the other passions in your life. Go out and meet other girls without a comparison chart!
