umm I'm a Canadian male studying at an American college. Honestly, the ratio of attractive canadian girls are much higher than it is here in the States. Oh yes and my ex-gf here is australian, and she is more attractive than 99% of american girls I've met.

You're damn right it is. Second biggest country in the world.

And you're right.....it isn't just the size, its what you do with it. Well, how about being one of the wealthiest, cleanest, most beautiful places in the world with the least amount of people that hate us because we don't piss anyone off? Damn straight.

I wouldn't wanna be anything other than Canadian.

Uh you do know California's "GDP" is more than Canada's GDP right? Ya California may not be as clean as Canada, but we also have beautiful places in California as well, as you don't need to go that far to see them either.

Yeah, so? Our general standard of living (for everyone.....hello, free medical care?) is much better. I've been all over California and the U.S.....you couldn't pay me to live there, seriously. Not saying there aren't some pretty places, but standard of living.....yikes.

BTW....British Columbia (my home province) supplies most of California's power. Just so you know.

So tell me about how good free health care is:

Come on now that news article must be lying right? Free health care is so great its unbelievable. It raises the standard of living so much its amazing.

Mockery aside, I have no idea why you said you have a higher standard of living when you got things like that going on in your hospitals. Some how us U.S. people don't have to wait weeks for some test that may save our life. Free health care may look good on paper but in reality it does not work, much like socialism and communism.

And I remember reading some where that you guys have to give 40% of your income to the government. Correct me if I am wrong, but how the heck can 60% of the money left over help you improve your standard of living? I guess you Canadians are crazy. Ya your cities may be better looking but you most certainly pay for it.

I don't think the health care in Canada is as accessible as it is in the States (if you can afford healthcare) but it beats the hell out of the fact that we have so many uninsured in our country. The question is, can we keep the quality of health care we have now if we were to socialize medicine as it is in Canada?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Ha ha ok. I don't know where these things are happening, but noone I know has ever had to wait for anything. Oh, and I don't have to worry about the bill if I get injured. Not going to lose everything I own if I break my leg. Lol.

And no, we don't pay 40% of our income to the gov't! Jesus! Maybe the multi millionaires do, but what do they care?

What are you trying to sell me on here anyways? The 'greatness' of the good ole USA? I told you, I've been there dozens of times. You ever been to Canada? Most Americans haven't.....but they all seem to have an 'opinion' based on what the media tells them. You can keep it. At least I can travel the world with my flag emblazoned all over me without people wanting to punch me in the face.

Not gonna change my mind, no matter what articles you google up for me. Canada kicks ass!

Here is a table regarding Canadian taxes. I don't think their taxes are all that much more than ours; it's just that ours has to be spread further since we have a larger problem with the poor burdening the system.
