Are Men REALLY Intimidated

I've noticed that the US seems like a very stereotypical nation. Our social 'castes' here in Aust are not so segregated and defined.
The 'hot' girls are not defined as tanned, long-legged blondes (although yes we do have them but not that significantly), we don't have jocks, we don't have 'nice guys' (generally) who are intimidated by the said hot girls, and we don't seem to have a number of the social issues that are mentioned here. I find that very very interesting

It's not that "nice guys" are intimidated by beautiful women, the problem is that they are spineless wimps who will break and go home crying after being rejected by a hot girl after a few times.

I personally know that it would be a fruitless effort, I'm not prepared to even try with such a girl. Although there might be something to be learned from it, but that would be the only reason I would have to try

I fall under the nice guy area, and I am not intimidated by such girls at all. The reason I don't even bother with them is the way they have treated me in the past and how they act now. Because the majority of the hot girls I have seen are usually materialistic, and are more worried about looks and reputation than anything else. Why the heck do I want to deal with that?

And the reality is that they have little or no chance to get such girls. Because more often than not the nice guy is average looking and how many times have you seen a hot girl with an average guy? I bet barely.

You know what bothers me? The idea that someone is 'leagues above' someone else. I mean, they may be beautiful, but they're human. I see two problems with this....either beautiful, normal girls are ripped off because they hate being seen as 'leagues above' other people and get frustrated because guys are too afraid to approach them, OR they are beautiful but retarded or bitchy and do not deserve to be ranked such because they have nothing going for them personality-wise.

Joking aside bluesummer, yes they are humans, but thru my own experience with such girls that I walk away from. Unless she can prove to me or show me that she is not like the rest of the hot girls that tend to be materialistic, bitchy, snobby, and have entitlement issues. I use to think such girls where out of my "league", and even made the mistake of putting such girls on stools. I don't do that anymore. I instead go for the less attractive girls that are more real and have more to offer than the hot ones. I am not saying I won't give a hot girl a chance, but she really has to be different from the rest of the hot girls I have ran into.

The beautiful girl I mentioned gave up waiting for one particular guy to ask her out . He was just a nice averagely good looking guy with a great personality and funny too .They were good friends for a long time but he thought that he had no chance being anything but her friend . They've just got engaged .

Perhaps a lot of really hot girls are materialistic and worry more about looks and reputation than anything else . I'm just saying that it isn't always the case . My friend was a bit of a late bloomer so in her head she's still the gawky , spotty kid she was at school . I don't think she even realises how good looking she is . She's a jeans and t shirt and hardly any make up kind of girl .

It's good news for girls like me though ... I never realised that being an average kind of girl was such a bonus .

Part of the reason why its very rare, is that people tend to go out with others who are on the same physical look wise as them. The next time your out in public, like a mall, take a look at the couples around you and see how many are on the same level look wise compare to the ones that are not. I bet you that you will have trouble finding some hot girl with an average guy than a hot girl with a hot guy.

Lin as far as you being an average girl, use it to your advantage. I use my height when ever I can when it comes to girls.

Yes, absolutely, I am intimidated. What's odd, is I've known some women who've put on a lot of weight and are no longer super-good-looking, and then the intimidation factor is gone -- even tho it's the same woman on the inside.

Some of the guys I've dated in the past qualify as "hot". There is no generalization beyond that to make, though. They're just guys. Some of them don't even know what to do with their own hotness.

Even some average guys think they're hot shit because their mamas tell them so.

I think with girls it's more complicated. I mean, do average guys totally hate the shit out of the hot guys, and secretly hope that they'll get into a disfiguring car accident while at the same time kissing their asses and trying to seem like their best friend? This is pretty common with girls.

Yeah, I don't hold anything against hot guys for being hot. A lot of them are pretty cool. Only thing is they have a higher chance of hating women, I would know this from conversation with them. I guess they get so many girls they just start to hate them.. Who knows

I only get pissed at the ones who have too much of an act. Because being hot is more than your natural looks, as we already established. It's how you dress and carry yourself too. Some hot guys cross into the prick category. These are the ones I hate.
