I met a mother that will not buy ANYTHING for her kid except mario and madden sports games. which made me sad. we do not sell mature games to kids, period. people should pull their heads out of their vaginas.

Wii's are cute and are for people who cant afford PS3's. Though its crap nintendo cant come up with something that plays cd's and damn dvds.
I'll say the arcade download games on the wii are the best thing about it though. They have the most classic and nostalgic games ever...like F-zero and the original ninja gaidans for nes. I guess that would only fly with gamers like me who have been gaming for 12 years at least now. Honestly to say, I think the DS lite is a better product offered from nintendo than the wii. It is sad though that kids are limited sometimes to mario games, I feel sorry for them..I will beat my kid if he doesn't want to play on a PC...lol just kidding. Games are my choice of entertainment to kill free time, they are not my life...but some games just don't keep my interest.

hehe "oh son you werent born prematurely, you just survived the abortion"
mario is a fantastic beginner game but you grow out of it fast. Downloading N64 games to the wii is the shit. Then again I can pull out my faithful N64 and relive any Banjo-Kazooie or starfox or whatever just as easy. I have never touched a DS or DS lite.. except selling them in the box. When it comes down to it I dont care much for handheld games, theyre just like toting around an snes.

Banjo Kazooie was the shit! I loved that game....I went crazy trying to find every note and puzzle piece.... I hated the sequel though. I only liked the SNES starfox. Some gamers moved from the snes to the N64 later on but I moved to the PSone..so I remember games like Final Fantasy 7 more. Only games I liked on the N64 were Banjo, Zelda(both of them), and Golden eye...don't know why the heck that was so popular lol.

I agree about the handhelds. I prefer the PSP myself. Either way they are only really great when stuck somewhere unwanted and have time to kill.

if there was a competition for how many different threads two people can carry out a conversation in we would kick ass.
I loved banjo but i cheated myself out of the first game by using a guide (what was i THINKING) and the second one was alright but yeah.. the story was kinda gay and dead jinjos? dear God! they were crushed to death under her machine! and dead bottles?! wtf?! the GBA game of banjo I still havent beat. kinda pisses me off. OoT was brilliant. Still one of my favorites. Majora's mask was not as good because the stupid time limits. Golden Eye.. I dont see the big deal.. I pretty much hate first person shooters. I only liked slapping the opponent to death. Snowboard Kids 2 is awesome. Speaking of zelda when I saw windwaker and the cell shading i was like what ARE they thinking? and it was okay-fun but the boss was way to easy.
But yeah I have never owned a playstation. I regret not getting a PS2 seeing the giant selection of games. Plus its the only system Inuyasha came out for. Though I heard that gamed sucked but I still would want to own it out of respect for the show

    GameStop as a corporation sucks.

However, I always did enjoy my time with my co-workers.

Not because they were gamers, so much as the fact we all enjoyed hating GameStop...and the customers.

It was a very "us" against "them" environment.

Yup. I ordered Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I can't think of any other modern game today that actually provides a challenge. I mean, not everyone can beat that game. It isn't just a matter of how much time you're willing to devote. It actually takes skill to see it to the end.

Yea, I like to post all over the place and reply a lot.

You like Inuyasha? that show has fans? lol .... anyways, I found major's mask to be better than OoT though I know almost all Zelda fans will dis-agree with me. I liked how it was more difficult and didn't rely on having you go through 8 fire/ice like temple dungeons to get 8 crystals and fight genandorf for the millionth time. I liked the 3 days thing in Major's mask, it was unique. You missed out on some unbelievable titles on the original PSone. I still think the best RPGs on a console to this date are FF7, FF8, FFT, and XenoGears.

Lots of people hate shooters but to me they are exciting and more evolved than the other games. Shooters have intense physics, graphics, and gameplay these days while RPGs are kind of stuck in the past.

Certain levels of CAL for CS:S are guaranteed to provide you with a challenge. And by that, I mean countless hours of dedication and practice

Only Ninja Gaiden I really played was the one for gamegear

First-person shooters have the best competition. Bloodtippedrose... Grrr

wow all you all were not right to be working at gamestop. Youre suppose to be gamers that have no life otherwise. Managers hire people that are like themselves and that would get along with current workers.. which explains why you all hated your jobs, the customers, and possibly your lives.

Unfortunately, each of us did have lives out of GameStop. In fact, maybe that's what made us better at our jobs than most. We weren't nerds pushing past each other to force a reserve or sub on each customer. We had a very loyal customer base.

On the flipside, we, I especially, did very well to weed out the bad customers. I gave them such a hard time they often vowed never to return.

That was great, because I didn't want to have to deal with them again. Anybody who enjoys working at Gamestop for GameStop, needs to get a life.

    Or at least graduate highschool.
