So in order for something to exist within the mind of the individual, it has to be witnessed? How do explain legends and myths?

Do I have to be that specific as if I was talking to a 2 year old? We can write down experiences right and pass them down? It is still not as vivid of a memory and it can be a lie...like most myths and legends are. One day, duh, everyone will be dead.

It's your shitty shoddy wording. Now if you said:

"They only exist in the memory of the individual who is still alive and has come to knowledge of the events...but they die soon as well."

It would of made more sense. "Witness" to me implies 1st hand perspective, visual confirmation of the events happening.
