Is it too soon?

My boyfriend and I have been together for about eight months and things are just so perfect. I have never met anyone guy like him, he is pretty much different from the rest. We have a very healthy relationship and everything is great.

Last night we ended up talking about our future. We talked about marriage and having kids together. I am usually the one that gets freaked about talking about stuff like this so soon. He is the same way as well. However, it just felt so natural and it did not seem rush.

Of course, we have agreed that in ten years we will see how things go and if things are still good, we will tie the knot. hehe

So I am just asking, is it ok to be talking about marriage and kids and the 'future' with someone you have been dating for less than a year? What is off limits to talk about?

i would say depends on the two people my parents meet and where married in 7 mths and have been married for 22 almost 23 years with 2 kids. I know other people in there 40's who will date one word of marriage and they walk away. If you both want a family and feel that, its something you want to do then sure talk about it. But if you both want college degrees i'd say focus on school. Get good birth control and from there see where you are when you graduate college
