Speaking of which, I was going to go through medical school but I don't like the time commitment for 12 years. Would be hard to start a family when I want one.

So, I'm going the smaller route. Six years, CRNA. Nurse Anesthetist. At least that way I'll have job sexurity, decent money (about $175k /year), and still be involved in the anesthesiology field.

Well $350k a year is the average for an anesthesiologist. I plan on going to a decent med school though like Columbia or Harvard or something so as to make well more than average

If you're talking about research, then yes, Harvard is in the top 2. If you're talking about primary care, then no. Go to Univ of Vermont, UMass, Dartmouth... and John Hopkins is in Maryland... that's NE, isn't it?

I'll probably end up applying to like the 10 best medical schools in the Northeast regardless in case I get rejected from 9 of them, but I'm doing everything I need to get into a good med school at this point

Well, don't be surprised if you don't get in. Not only will you have to have a 3.85 at LEAST, you'll need to bring in a 40 MCAT and also have some volunteer work at both a hospital and community service. It won't hurt to work on an independent study research project. They do turn people down with 4.0s, so you need to pad your resume.

So when you post on here saying you're bored, you aren't doing EVERYTHING you could be doing.
