A friend, who is a gyno, told me that women don't get pregnant unless they wanted to get pregnant. While I know this isn't 100% certain, I wonder if your communication with her is as good as you think it is. Have you considered that she may want to get married with you and that she's trying to get pregnant to help you... err... "make up your mind"? I am not saying she's a manipulative b**ch, but Cain, you should be more aware of these kind of behaviours too.

If she is pregnant, my congratulations.
If not, well, maybe you should stop and think whether you are ready for this HUGE RESPONSIBILITY or not yet.

She knows that I want to marry her eventually. We almost eloped a few weeks back but both of us (her as well.. this was something she brought up) wanted one ceremony. She wouldn't get pregnant just to get married now since we'll be getting married eventually anyways.

And that comment your gyno made is bullshit. The only 100% way to prevent pregnancy is abstinence. The pill isn't 100% effective.

And yes, if we got pregnant, we COULD handle it. I'm not saying that it would be easy because it surely wouldn't. We CAN afford it right now but it won't be nearly as easy as it would be in another two years.

By the way, this is for the record.... I'm not the kind of guy that's going to marry some chick just cause she got pregnant. If I met a girl and she lied so she could get pregnant so I'd get serious with her and I had no intentions on staying with her (I wouldn't lead her on... she'd know it was a casual thing), I still wouldn't stay with her. I'd fight for custody and stay single. I'm not going to be unhappy for the next 18 years because some female manipulated me.

I plan to wait a little longer before proposing. I have to think of an amazing way to do it, plus, I'm a believer in asking for the parent's permission (just out of respect). I don't think I'm on that level with the dad yet.
