when do you love someone?

Okey..so this question probably sounds very silly to you.
but honestly, I dont think i really know when i love someone, probably because of my lack of interest (untill now)

I was wondering, if you can call it love when you just like a girl because of her looks,but dont know/dont really like her personality?

Or can you call it love when it starts to feel way deeper, when you like everything she does and stand for!?

i'm really confused.
all my previous "crushs" had been on girls like the first example.
and i thought i loved them, but i dunno now.

i only wanna know if this might be my first time in love.
and that sounds so unlikely, but when i think of the other girls i "loved" its feels like they are so small in my heart compared to this one.

you say that this love makes you feel previous love for girls pale in comparison, but that may just be because you have since learnt that these other girls were wrong for you. Some time in the future you may look back on this relationship and feel the same way as you do about those. I'm not saying this isn't the real deal, just be careful.

Personally, I think your first example (i.e. you like the look of them but haven't talked to them) is basic lust and nothing else. Love IS when you love them for everything that they are and I can't remember who said it, but generally what you love most about the person are what other people may see as their faults - you just happen to see them as adorable characteristics lol
