New Boots! (Pictures!) {I have a boot fetish...kind of}

Some of you may remember way back in the day, I posted my boot fetish.

I love boots, I wear sneakers when I wear shorts, but otherwise it's boots all the way. I have all kinds! Some I got rid of once I moved though.


For the most part, I've been wearing these Altama desert boots for the past 3 years, and they've held up really well. They're still good. Problem was, they weren't steel toe and I've dropped a few heavy things on my feet since then. I do have an old pair of black jungle boots with steal toe, but they always fit too big.


I just bought these Converse boots. That's right, Converse makes military grade boots. They're a little unconventional but they're more padded than my old boots, and they have that slick side zipper so I don't have to lace and unlace constantly. They got what's called a "composite toe". It's not metal, and in fact no part of the boots are metal, so I wouldn't set off security gates and more important for me they don't conduct electricity. Not to mention the cool sage green color.

I can't wait to wear them to work!

And drop something on my feet!

While drilling something with my new drill!

And cutting something with my new lineman's pliers!

Altama makes some pretty good boots. I have some all leather ones.

I just like plain old leather boots, with plain soles.

Your boot fetish is like my lycra and spandex fetish, I've got a few pairs and it's always nice to buy a new pair.

I want women in them...and out. Nothing like a good looking lady in spandex or bike shorts to be specific.

As for boots...iono.

After you've done what I've done in them, you might reconsider.

I didn't buy them for their looks.

In fact, aesthetically I prefer jump boots like this:



But since I'll be wearing them to work every day, I wanted something that let my feet breathe, reduced the impact on my feet, protected them from heavy objects, and reduced the chances I acted as a ground for electricity.

I found all of these things in those 90 dollar boots.
