Next time hun, go with your first instinct. You were right to be skeptical about this guy at first. When someone breaks up, he/she usually needs some grieving time. The fact that he was eager to jump into a new relationship with you should have been a big red flag.

Chalk this up as a learning experience for your future relationships. Don't beat yourself up, but instead take what you can to learn from it. We all make stupid relationship mistakes. Because they come here for approval and a pat on the back rather than real advice.
