I was talking about the same thing before, the importer vs exporter status of intellectual material. The countries with the strongest economies (US, Germany, and Japan) have the most practical and useful engineering companies that develop the plans for products

Silly. Of course I can, I've 'talked' with you long enough. Its in what you say & how you say it. You got the raw stuff, DM, even if I didn't know what you were doing.

Grades by themselves are only an indication of potential intellect. Its what you do w/what you learn that counts.

Gribble, for example, I haven't a clue what he does or his schooling. But he's another one w/the 'right stuff' (IMO). LOL.

Hmmm I disagree. I'd have to talk to people and probe their understanding of different branches of math as well as common sense math, and look at their ability in organic chemistry after they've been taught the material, that's definitely how I would go about it

Guess I'd be pretty stupid then, by your criteria. Oh well. There's always sex.

Lehman sought millions for execs while seeking aid

By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writer 18 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The now-bankrupt investment bank Lehman Brothers arranged millions in bonuses for fired executives as it pleaded for a federal lifeline, lawmakers learned Monday, as Congress began investigating what went so wrong on Wall Street to prompt a $700 billion government bailout.

The first in a series of congressional hearings on the roots of the financial meltdown yielded few major revelations about Lehman's collapse, and none about why government officials, as they scrambled to avert economic catastrophe, declined to rescue the flagging company while injecting tens of billions of dollars into others.

I don't know about that anymore. Though the dollar is picking up. Everyone at work is being cut throat over who is going to stay and who is going to leave. If it's not just panic, it looks like a recession. Funny how an economic crisis can bring out people's true character.

Don't be so narrowminded and associate industrial work with smokestacks
I was referring to human capital and production in the form of education and industrial engineering. The bottom line is still that we are facing a lot of competition in the world market.

I've yet to see the best in people. I got very upset to see people that I trusted and helped, to turn around and stab you in the back just when times get hard and they fear losing their job.

Here things are so bad, robbers are afraid to step foot in a bank because they might get mugged by the teller.

I think that is wrong. Self actualization for me takes a higher priority over stupid sex.
