    The moon

If tides are affected by the moon do you think humans (consist of up to 65% water) are affected by the moon too?

The word ‘Lunatic ’ derives from lunar….

    What do you think?

That mean I can blame my PMS on the moon? Cool!

haha ye maybe, you never know , i think i'll use that excuse next time i'm ratty

it's an area that hasn't really been researched and aparently in some countries they chop down trees according to the moon cycle simply because it costs millions of dollars more due to the fact the sap from the trees secretes more if cut down at the wrong time....

No, I don't think we are.

Plus, even if we were, why would it affect our behavior?

i don't know if it does, but i think the article was interesting. it hasn't been studied at all really. just a thought. DM i can tell you only ever want to deal with facts. but maybe one day it will become a fact....or not. who knows.

Isn't the whole idea behind this kind of stuff that our bodies are made up of water and the moon affects the tides? Or something.

I dunno. Once it becomes a fact, call me.

The moon doesn't do anything more than tug at water, like it tugs at anything else on the Earth.

In fact, I'm sure it's tugging at my glass of juice here, but I don't see it creating any tidal wave.

Any affect the moon has on people is minimal, at best.

But we already know it doesn't take much to affect us.

The difference between eating dinner at 6 as opposed to 7 can greatly affect some people's mood.

Please, the gravitational force of the moon on us is too gradual for us to even notice. Driving a car has more of an effect on us then the moon.

I think DM is onto something...you're a lunatic, lol.

It's called selective memory. Weird things happen all the time. When something weird happens on a full moon or on Friday the 13th we latch onto it.

Lunatic is a very old term and isn't used anymore, apart from by every-day people to describe someone as crazy.

No the moon does not pull at the water in us because it's a very small amount compared to the ocean. At least, that's what I have read,

Tell me, does the moon pull on water more than it does any other fluid?

Also, don't you think the moon would pull more on things that are lighter and less dense than water?

There is no direct connection between the moon and water. If the moon manages to pull on water, than it also is pulling on everything else on the Earth. The trees, grass, air, animals (us), buildings, everything. The moon's gravitational pull would not be selective towards water, considering air is even more fluid than water.

Have you considered any of this?
