Dos and don'ta when writing an online presentation.

I've decided to forget my ex and move on... I'm now hoping to find the love of my dreams online so I have put together a presentation for my self that I'm going to post on some Swedish dating sites.

What I need for you guys and girls is to help me to improve my presentation. Remember that I'm new to all this and that I've never done this before.

Obviously my presentation needs to be in Swedish, but since I'm a bit lazy, I got Google to translate my presentation to English. I don't agree with presentation to a 100% but it's close enough.

I have been single for over 1.5 years, since a multi-year relationship ended. I now feel that it’s time for me to start looking up someone to share all the good things life has to offer with.

I grew up in Gothenburg, but after high school moved to Malmo, where I spent 7 good years, before I finally returned to Gothenburg. Back in Gothenburg, I got me a pleasant life with all that implies in terms of friends, good job, spacious accommodation and other material things. What I am now looking for is a person who wants to enrich the life with her presence, charm and trust. And of course, share her dreams, goals and interests with me.

I am relatively uncomplicated and positive in nature and I have therefore never had difficulties to try new things, spontaneous trips (even if only for a weekend), road trips, outdoor-life and camping, evenings at home with movies or parlour games, nice picnic or a coffee in town are all examples of activities I enjoy. With the right person most activities are enjoyable.

Most perceive me as caring, loyal and reliable and I have noticed over the years that people tend to open up for me. I enjoy getting to know new people, so do not hesitate to get in touch if you find this interesting.

Any ideas or tips on how to improve my presentation will be highly appreciated. Feel free to criticize my presentation and provide completely honest opinion. Just bring it on!

i personally think its too gooey.....spice it up with funny jokes about your personality....make it more fun to read..and its a bit long aswell for someone who might be flicking thru lots of profiles.....thats just me tho

This is an issue I've got with the dating sites, if people meet face to face it's usually so much easier to judge based on what you see and other people's impression, but on a dating site a pompous douchebag is able to make himself sound like prince charming.

Not saying it's like that in your case, just that it's a possibility. I don't like dating sites much Then again, never had to use one.

Aaaanyways, Eco's right about it being a bit too gooey, I think that a brief mentioning of your job could work if its something that might be interesting. I think you've covered most of it, perhaps focus more on making it memorable through a clever line or two.

gooey means too soft...you're a MAN, toughen it up a bit...hehe.... i'd be more inclined to read a profile that was witty and made me laugh and made me say (so true! to myself)....its about grabbing attention right?....so that you have the pick of the bunch.....the getting to know each other after that is when you can share the serious stuff....but thats just me...i like guys that have a good sense of humour and can laugh at themselves....they are certainly not boring people (of course not that i'm saying you are...its just down to taste i suppose) but maybe thats not you. so i dunno really

I'll rewrite the presentation and I'll think that I'll write it in English this time, most swedes speak English rather well so that shouldn't be a problem, in fact I think that it would make my pres stand out in the crowd.

My only problem is that my mind is completely blank right now, this won't be easy.
