Not sure what I'm getting myself into...!

So, I'm in a situation that I didn't really see coming. I've searched for similar stories but I haven't found anything so here goes (for the record she's 22, and I'll be 22 in January):

OK, so I casually met this girl 3 years ago online, actually in a fan club of an artist we both love. She was in a relationship until 2 years ago when they had a bad break-up, but still, we've only ever sporadically talked here and there, sometimes even a month or two without contact.

Now, fast forward to just two months ago, we suddenly started talking a bit more and she randomly brought up the idea of writing letters back and forth...I thought it was a great idea so I agreed, and we've been doing that for the past two months...and then it happened; I'm pretty sure I'm developing some strong feelings for her because we have EVERYTHING in common, it's creepy! Same values, same views on love, same personality and we both love the same singer. I have her on Facebook and she's been complimenting my looks lately, and I flirt right back...

What I don't know what to do and need some advice on, is whether I should tell her what I'm feeling in the next letter or let it build a while longer? We've only sent three letters each so far but what we've talked about has been enough to develop these feelings! I'm getting a vibe that they very well be mutual, but she's old fashioned and likes old fashioned guys so I know she won't tell me. Plus there's the whole fact that she's 2,000 miles away, but sometimes love can make you do/think crazy things! I'm hoping it works out, and I really appreciate anyone's advice/view on this!

Hmmm... You know, it's wierd, but you are pretty much in the same situation as me :O

I met a girl a while ago, and i cannot find ONE THING we dont have in common. It's like she's my female clone!

Well, anyway, we havent written letters or anything, and I know she has a facebook, but I dont wanna ask her to add me, because I dont want to rush her or anything.

I recently started realising that I have strong feelings for her, and I just dont know what to do.....

How far away does this girl live from you? Mine lives 10 hours away (by car)

A lot of people say that love can conquer all things but with those kind of distances I think your both kind of screwed - sorry to be the pessimist but if u live so far away from each other u rarely see each other u'll slowly grow apart imo..if u want to move near where they live then go for it ..but otherwise imo just leave it be

Oh wow! Glad to know someone else is in a similar situation. Mine's about 2,000 miles away, BUT I do work for an airline so I fly for free, I can go visit her whenever I want.

I wrote the letter and added a part saying how I'm feeling...I'd rather know for sure than assume...if it doesn't work out than fine, but I'd rather try at least. I know it'll be hard but it will be an experience, hopefully good!

As for you petey, just go for it, let her know, or maybe hint at it. There's nothing to lose really! Plus you'll feel better knowing the truth.
