Hi everyone.

I have been here a few weeks, posted quite a few times and was asked by someone in another thread not to be so mysterious as to why I am here ... so here goes.

I came here, at the recommendation of a friend, because I am still in pain from an ugly breakup (her long-term multiple cheating) of a 3 year relationship about 4 months ago. I'm not interested in repairing my relationship, once a cheater, always a cheater ... besides, she likes the excitement of a new and "dangerous" affair, that's something that's out of my control.

When I first got here, I poured through many threads that confirmed what my friend had been telling me ... that I should have seen it coming by the cyclical changes in her behavior toward me, and only time relieves the pain. I've taken to heart many suggestions as to how to shorten the time, and I'm cautiously dating again. So I never posted my problem because the answers were already here. Thanks.

I've also noticed that there is little difference between the advice givers and the advice seekers here except that the advice givers are not clouded by emotional involvement in the problem. I have seen more than a few examples where the same member as an advice seeker is clueless, but as an advice giver is spot on right.

So I post here because I hope my advice is useful to the OP, but also because it sometimes gives me the opportunity to self-advise without the emotional involvement.
