Sigh. I'm yuppie scum. Tolerance is a two-way street. Just because the majority of students are white Christians doesn't mean you subject everyone else to their beliefs. If they want a Christmas pageant that truly is tolerant it must represent everyone in the school in some way. Why don't they ever try that? A new "carol" that tries to incorporate a little of everything from atheism to Hinduism. Or better yet, return to the roots of the season and just celebrate without any sort of religious undertones. Just be happy and generous and loving without bowing and scraping to mystical creatures.
