Bet you never thought that I could break you. Did you think that I would look the other way? Yeah you had it all figured out.
But tell me who's the one who's crying now =)
Not so much 'moving on' as 'acceptance', but beautiful:

Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

Ive noticed that some more up-beat songs are helpful.
Some songs I enjoy are:
MGMT- Kids
Kevin Rudolf - Let it Rock
Also it isnt a song but I just saw a movie that was very helpful. It gives you hope that you will find someone else great.

It depends on the person as well, and their experiences with the relationship. Certain subtle lyrics in songs can be like "Wow, I totally felt like that!" even though it might not necessarily be about a break-up per say.

Sucker love is heaven sent.
You pucker up, our passions spent.
My hearts a tart, your bodys rent.
My bodys broken, yours is spent.
Carve your name into my arm.
Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed.
Cuz theres nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Sucker love, a box I choose.
No other box I choose to use.
Another love I would abuse,
No circumstances could excuse.
In the shape of things to come.
Too much poison come undone.
Cuz theres nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Sucker love is known to swing.
Prone to cling and waste these things.
Pucker up for heavens sake.
Theres never been so much at stake.
I serve my head up on a plate.
Its only comfort, calling late.
Cuz theres nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Like the naked leads the blind.
I know Im selfish, Im unkind.
Sucker love I always find,
Someone to bruise and leave behind.
All alone in space and time.
Theres nothing here but what heres heres mine.
Something borrowed, something blue.
Every me and every you.

I'm totally inexpirienced at the whole love thing.. Only had one boyfriend and I hated it. I never want to love again, afraid to get hurt again I guess. He asked me out and pretty soon, I was in deep, I fell so hard for him... One day, my best guy friend said that he'd left. He moved without a word to me. I talked to him after and he said that he'd never loved me, it was all a joke. I was played and that was that. I'm the stupid one, eh?
Here are a couple of songs that helped numb my heart, that's the only thing that helped...
We -- Lasse Lindh
Sidewalks -- Story Of The Year
Brothers On A Hotel Bed -- Death Cab For Cutie
I was going to reply with songs, as my iTunes library currently consists of about 79gb of music which amounts to about 18,000 songs. lacuna responded with songs I was going to mention. POD - Will You is a song that I was happy to see in the list of his many. At least 10 songs there were ones I was going to suggest. So the only other songs I haven't seen are both by Queens of the Stone Age: I Never Came and Autopilot. Both songs are not exactly some of their harder stuff but its the lyrics that really strike you in a time of emotional need. Just about any Three Days Grace song can get you going as well.
Many people seem to dislike 3DG but I really like them. Partly because they were drilled into my head at work, we choose our own music and everyone in the store liked them so two of their CDs were playing everyday for the entire summer in a 5 disc machine over the speaker system. I like them particularly because when your in a good mood they make you feel good for not being in the state that the singer is in, just seems like his life is falling apart and he always has shit to deal with. In addition, if you are in a terrible mood, its like wow someone has also felt my pain. Yes that's common sense, everyone goes through stuff but when your hurt you don't particularly think of others but rather, focus specifically on your pain and its more of a reminder that your not alone in your struggle.
All the best man, you will get through this.
