I find people on ehre to be very honest which is why I asked in the first place.

I have no reason to "hate" on people. Sure, I wish I had things others did, but I will not hate them for it. Why? Because I dont know how they got there.I am a very quiet person unless around people I know. I am not confrontational, I do not like loud people though I know some, but I am not one of them. I do not follow the "in crowd", I prefer to stick to myself. I am judged to be stuck up by appearance because I walk like a model apparently and I just move through the halls from point a to point b with my attention on just that, getting where I need to go. BUT, when they get to know me, they tell me they thought I would be stuck up, but realized Im a pretty cool laid back person. I carry myself in a respectable manner. I show cleavage in my clothing I do admit, but it personally doesnt bother me to do so. I've actually never been in a physical fight. Verbal yes, but not physical.

So no, I do not fit in your definition of trash, and I want alot of tattoos. It is sickening how we as people generalize everybody to be ONE thing just cuz they have certain things when in reality it is not even near that way.

EDIT: I should add I already made a thread about this same thing. My tattoos are very meaningful to me. I have my daughters name on my back, and my nickname from my grandfather on my foot, and he passed away. Both people mean a whole lot to me, he was definitely my favorite grandfather, as I was his favorite granddaughter. If I feel that getting a tattoo is a good way to express my love so what? Thats MY opinion. Im not going around telling others they should get one, but I like them personally. If you dont like it though, then do not look at me if it bothers you that much.

I wouldn't ever tattoo my hands or some place that I couldn't cover up, thats just going to hold you back in the world tbh.

I have looked at getting a half sleeve that I can hide with a short sleeve shirt, but i can;t think of things I would want forever stamped on me that could fill it.

P.S. Word to the wise, NEVER tattoo the name of the opposite sex on you....just don't.

Tattoos were originally the rebellious thing that very few people had...now adays everyone and their mother(literally) has them and it doesn't even phase others.

DM, you should get into tattoo removal maybe as something on the side...my uncle actually thought about doing that. He's an OBGYN that actually is retired...missed the fast paced, little sleep, constantly on call and is now working in the ER.

That is one thing for a fact I would never do. I dont know if we are together for life. As for family I can do that, cuz we will always be family and will always love each other regardless, but an SO? Heeelllll no. THAT I would definitely regret. I've told most of the guys in my life that I would never put a man's name on my body, so dont get your hopes up.

Yeah some doc had to make difficult decisions and had no choice but to "go through" the tattoo for an epidural, etc.

Others say no, and send you off to a doc with more nerves (and malpractice insurance).

I must say that I like tattoos because they seem cool but I would never get one. I have seen even professionals (in a doctoral medical field) with a tattoo. They are either extremely outgoing and regret it now or trashy by my and other people's standards. I have never meet a non-trashy or non-loud person with a tattoo. The males usually have been to jail at least once.

Can I conclude that you are "loud" Ladie? Nothing wrong with that but I know that you are not trashy so you must be very animated. Ooops nevermind, I skipped your post 16.

If you guys think I am loud you dont want to meet the people around me. When they are on the street everyone must notice they are there. One look at them funny and they act ignorant one time. I am assuming the definition for loud in the case is what I just described: outspoken for everything, confrontational, attention seeking. Am I right Sonrisa? And if not, please define "loud".

I am quite offended by the thread responses altogether that you are grouping all people with tattoos to be loud and rude and trashy. What does the tattoo itself have to do with what the person is personality wise? Are you implying that I am loud, rude, and trashy? I wasnt raised in the ghettos. I know what manners, respect and self respect is.

We are not grouping everyone. Most of us are just going by our little experience of what we have noticed.

By loud I meant very animated. You notice their behavior or personality as soon as you enter the room. They catch your attention right away. I don't mean anything negative by it. Like I said I know a doctorate medical professional with a little butterfly on her left shoulder. Her husband hates it but overlooked it because he is attracted to her. She is very cool and I certainly notice and hear her a mile away hehe. Another lady has a HUGE butterfly I guess, I didn't get a great look, at the base of her spine. OMG, she is an entertainer. Again, she is very cool.

Unfortunately the men may be cool but I have found that they all have a very negative past. It's probably a rebel thing for them.

All the other women I have seen with tattoos (that I can see) were extremely trashy.

Oh, I can recall a few girls with tattoos but when asked, they got it because of some fashion statement in high school or freshman year of college---like the now medical professional. The ankle was very popular too. She doesn't know why she had to get one now that she is in her mid thirties.

Again, they are all animated in some way. Which is not a bad thing.

I don't know any introverts or mild temperament person with a tattoo but it may be covered.

well the one i'm thinking about getting is going to be pretty small, i'd like it to be hidden even in a bikini...i'm still contemplating on what it will be but i'm definitely never planning on having anything put on my body permanently if it didn't mean anything, i've thought about the tattoos i want for some time. now. About 1 and half years. i've done a lot of research. The biggest one i'd get will probably be on the side of my stomach of a lotus flower with vines and a butterfly. It will be at least a couple of years before i consider that one though. I'm still really young so i don't want to do anything i'll regret later on. The small one on my hip is something i'm 100% sure about though. That's a pretty big thing for me, since i absolutely love piercings and tats...i just never had the guts to do it and my parents have always been an obstacle. They absolutely hate piercings besides the ears and i'm positive they wouldn't approve of a tattoo...oh well.

i wouldn't do a tramp stamp, it looks trashy to me, even on ppl who have perfect bodies.

I really, really, really hate tattoos on women. I don't care if they are "cute", or "classy" or "meaningful". I really f-cking hate them on girls.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

I know people who aren't loud or trashy with discreet tattoos, but they regret marking up their bodies. Tattooing is a fad that will go in and out of style (like all other fads). What looks cool when you are 16-22 looks ridiculous when all the soccer moms start doing it. (This I learned from my navel piercing, which I got long before it went mainstream, at which time I removed it). The downside is that the tattoo is permanent. Also, it doesn't look good on aging bodies, and aging is a reality that young people don't seem to grasp.

Bo - why don't you just get a henna tattoo, and save your parents the heart attack?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I have a tattoo on my right forearm that I don't regret at all. It has meaning behind it. I plan to get another on my left forearm and one on my upper left pectoral.

It's not to be cool. It's not to be in style. It's because I want them because they have meaning to me. I won't get one in a palce that it can't be covered, however.
    I don't chase, I replace.

I've actually thought about the whole aging deal...which is why i'm very hesitant about the larger tattoos...even though i do want them, i'll wait a couple years to make the decision on that. They won't even be very large though, i'm not a huge fan of Gigantic tattoos either.

And eh, i don't know about the henna. I would probably do a henna just to get a feel of what it's like having a tattoo but if I'm gonna do something like this i'm gonna go for it. Kind of like fake knock offs of handbags; if i don't have the real thing, i'd rather not have it at all.
