    Should I be worried?

So Peter came here this weekend and we had a nice time - I was so happy and excited to be around him. I mentioned to him that I would be glad to head his way next weekend, but as he was leaving he said that he was coming back here! (YEAH, TWO weekends in a ROW!!!) I was on cloud 9!

Tonight he calls and mentions that he had dinner with "a friend" and then started talking about leaving town and heading for other places, in other words next weekend he may NOT be coming here. He didn't sound remotely remorseful or anything - didn't mention the cancelled plans.

I didn't really say anything - I didn't want to complain, but I would be less than honest if I said I wasn't a little worried? Should I be?

I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the state-appointed shrink is our friend. - Jack Handy

I dont think its anything to be worried about just because his reaction may have been a little cold.
Sometimes guys can appear to be emotionless to girls,
and girls can appear to be over emotional to guys.
And then there is the whole 'wanna look tough' thing where we hide our feelings if we do have them.

Maybe his mindset is "its a shame, but its not the end of the world, I can always see her next time and talk over the phone" or he is upset about it, but doesnt want to let it show (I think for alot of guys this is a situation they would want to hide how upset they are) or possibly he was just tired when he made the call.

Hope that helps, try to stay optamistic with things after all "It is better to be betrayed by a friend, than to suspect them"

Jules~dont worry about this one. You guys had a great weekend together. Im sure he has alot of friends, look at his position. We have to remember they do have other things going on, which might not include us. That doesnt mean they care any less. Im sure within the next couple of days things will be ok. I hate reading into things, and sometimes we just do and dont know it. I have no doubts you will hear from him, and things will get straightened out for you, or you will get the clarity youre looking for.

    IT will be ok sweetie...

I don't know you like some people here, but my advice bud would be to talk to him about but in a suddle way, don't make it look like you were worrying about it but bring it up and tell him you were just curious.
