I had dinner with a pretty chick. And since we'd never dated before I didn't have to spew any lovey dovey bullshit so I actually kept my meal down.

My fiance told me that last V-Day was when he first started seriously considering asking me to marry him.

It was nice to hear that.

My V-day was nice and low key as well. Y and I went to an "anti-valentine's" dinner party where I got to meet all his friends for the first time. Meeting his friends in that setting meant more to me than going to some trendy, overpriced restaurant with a prefixed menu. The food was amazing. His friends are really good cooks.

Y said he doesn't like Valentine's Day on the principle that he doesn't like Hallmark telling him what day to be romantic with me. Can't say I disagree with him as I've never been that fond of the holiday either.

I sent a diamond photoframe with a poem inside and a singular white rose to my girlfriend on the Wednesday before so it would arrive on V-Day, then on V-Day I woke up at 7am went to work until 1pm, then had to go and install another kitchen and didn't finish till 6pm. So I guess you can say mine was buzzin'....

Started the day about 2:00 pm or so, headed out to the Seattle Center to play tourist ($30 for a year pass to the space needle bit, when it's normally $120 for the year.) froze ass off standing in line for 30 minutes because the family in front of us didn't speak ****ing and even when it was our turn to be helped the guy came back and interrupted AGAIN (This was after walking away from the window 3 times already and running back when she'd say "NEXT")

So, wander around the needle on what was a pretty nice day as long as you were in the sun. (Yes, Seattle does actually get sun periodically...)

Then we went to the grocery store for some wine, stopped by a chocolate shop for some chocolates (Wife is a huge chocolate snob.), hopped into the sex store for a new vibe for her, then wandered in to the peep show for a few minutes. After that we checked into the hotel room, put our PJs on, ordered room service, ate dinner, watched a movie, I ran down the the bar for a few shots while she soaked in the jacuzzi tub.

Nice, low key, relaxing. She made me a pillow case, I bought her parts for her pinball machine. So romantic.
"Well, then," the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."
