ACL Reconstruction

This is a ligament reconstruction just incase anyone didn't know. has anyone else had this done? im on the list to have the hamstring graft one done. Soon (hopefully). Lookiong at playing football after too. Anyone know roughly how long it would be until you can do this? and how was your recovery period if you have had it done?

i got a leaflet saying about how i could jog after 3 months, maximum of running in a figure of 8 after 6 months. just wondered if anyone had previous experience and how it went, and if anyone had it and played sport after.

a had a friend who had this surgery done before. she was a soccer and volleyball player, and after she got the surgery, she was still able to play these sports. however, being that she got the surgery in her senior year of high school, how it affected her abilities, i'm not to sure of because she didn't try out for these sports in her college level.
