How to read an ex's signals

Been broken up since end of summer. We keep in touch via text and he calls about every other week. All good conversations.

But now he wants to meet for dinner this week. He didn't say it all serious or anything.

Just wondering if I should. I know how I feel.........I love him. I've always thought he was THE one. But we went through a rough patch about "where do we go next" ie the commitment thing. I walked out b/c I wanted more.

Do I meet him? I don't want to have a BIG TALK. I would love just to see him and have it be casual. Is that wrong for a first get-together again??????

Sounds like your getting into a situation that isn't going to have a fairy tale ending like you're quietly hoping for.

You fear your own anger, the drive to do great and terrible things."

If he is asking you out it means he wants Vajayjay. If he is already getting Vajayjay then he is asking you out because he values you.

    God damn it.

    It's a f*ckin' vagina, VAGINA.

Pussy is more appropriate than vajayjay.

Whoever came up with that damn word was a goddamn pussy.

If he were really your ex, he wouldn't be giving you any signals. he wouldn't commit to you and you've apparently accepted this, since you didn't cut contact with him and find someone else when you "broke up". Let me guess- he's been seeing other people and you haven't, right?

You've been broken up since the END OF SUMMER.

    It's time to move on.

I really don't see this going the way you want.. if you've talked every other week and it hasn't been in regard to your relationship and trying to fix things, then he's not interested in doing that-- he sees you as a friend.

As for the meeting.. I agree with the above that he might be looking for a hook up at this time and you're an easy target. There's a good chance he knows exactly how you feel about him.

If I were you, I wouldn't go. Take some time away from talking to this guy and work on moving on.

Well!! Even if u do meet him be casual.. Don't get to intimate. Only meet him if u can pull it of. If he tries to kiss u or something, Just say we should be friends and that is all u want.

Only meet him if u can pull this of.

    ALl the best!

I don't understand why did you walk out if you love him and always though he was the one. You wanted more than "the one", how's that possibile?

But since you say you still love him, you should see him. Perhaps he's thinking he made a mistake and wants to come back with you, and is starting to feel like he could accept a commitment. Isn't this what you wanted?

Hi, I agree with The Wise...in quotes...and Cbrider has a good point also. I guess if you really want to know how he's feeling, or why he wants to get together, the best way to find out would be to have that dinner... but keep your emotions in check, and your boundaries.
