I might buy a new (used) car!

I just looked at it today, seems pretty nice, a few minor things, glove compartment was broken into so the latch was broken off, but it still opens and closes.

Also one of the back rests on the rear seats comes unhinged when you lay it forward but you just snap it back on and it works fine.

She took about 300 dollars off the kelly blue book value for the car.

It drove real nice, really zippy compared to mind, and it's a stick!

6500 is what she's asking for it.

It feels like a sports car compared to mine.

This may solve my car dilemma I've had for years.

I'm waiting for my loan application to go through.

My friend has one of these identical to the one you're looking at and absolutely hates it. I personally have never owned a VW, but they are plagued with electrical problems. They have always had shaky electrical systems at best.

You want an honest opinion, buy Japanese. No matter how you cut it, they always rate highest and they know how to build a good car.

I bought the car, and now I'm broke as f*ck.

Stupid Louisiana tax was 700 dollars.

And we have to put a deposit and first month's rent down on our new place in a few weeks.

Correct me if I'm wrong...you don't have a job do you? You got laid off right?

And you bought a car? A car at $6500? $6500 for a 6 year old jetta...to be honest for that kind of money there were better options. Even if the bluebook says that's what it should be worth, it doesn't mean you should pay that much. I agree with CB, VW has always had a bad wrap for electrical issues.

No, I'm employed, and making 60 dollars more (on the check) a week than I was before.

And I already bought it, so that's done.

It's an alright car, but of course the lady didn't want to put in the needed maintenance since she was selling the car, so I'll probably end up dropping another 500 or so on the car to get it up to my standards.

It's a hefty expense, but I can afford it, and I think it's worth it.

I made that last car last for 5 more years (just sold it today), I'm sure I can make this one last until I'm ready to buy a truck.
