    foreskin?

ive got an honest question for all the ladies out there:

i was watching nip tuck the other night and the one kid got turned down for sex because he had foreskin. is foreskin a turnoff to you ladies? or do you prefer a man with it?

    thx

I'm no lady, but considering that the majority of men out there are circumsized, anyone with a foreskin is a sexual minority. Some girls might think it's cool, some girls wouldn't care, and some girls might think it's "wierd" if they've never seen it before but have seen circumsized penises before.

So your best bet would be to be circumsized. If you're not, it's probably not a big deal, but you may run into the occasional girl like that on nip/tuck. If you ARE, that negates that problem.

PS - If you're not by the time you're old enough to find this forum, and type in this question, I'd recommend staying that way. From what I've heard, it's pretty damned painful, and really doesn't have THAT much of a benefit from it.

A majority in the US only.

    Statistics* for English speaking countries:

    60-70% of Americans are circumcised
    10-20% of Canadians are circumcised
    20-30% of Brits are circumcised
    10-20% of Australians are circumcised
Less than 1% of New Zealanders are circumcised

    * The statistics change depending on the source. Anti-circumcision groups seem to boost the %.

Foreskin is natural and is supposed to be there. This act of mutilation is on the decline everywhere except in cultures where it has a religious meaning. It is also estimated that circumcision removes 2/3 of the penis' sensitivy.

I changed the stats a bit, since I keep seeing different numbers. From what I saw, immigrants are those who rise the average for the UK.

I've had sex with both and I actually PREFER foreskin. Plus, I've heard men with foresekin have much better orgasms. I read that because their gear isn't exposed all the time they are MORE sensitive down there.. as oppsoed to uncircumcized men get aroused more easily and frequently. Plus the nerves haven't been all chopped off.

Great "tradition." I believe circumcision was a way to distinguish a tribe (forget which one) in the bible. Anyone know otherwise???

Nothing like coming into the world and having your dick hacked as soon as you get here!!!

Its also done for medical reasons, such as the outter skin and the internal bits growing at different rates.

The medical arguments in favor of circumcision are rather thin. The whole logic is based on the idea that if there's a risk of infection or a need to clean something, it should be removed.

    Taken from CNN.com:

Circumcision prevents inflammation and infection of the penile foreskin and makes it easy to keep the end of the penis clean. Once a boy is circumcised, washing the penis with soap and water is all that's necessary.

Decreased risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs). Although the risk of UTIs in the first year is low, various studies suggest that UTIs may be as much as 10 times more common in uncircumcised baby boys than in those who are circumcised. Uncircumcised boys are also more likely to be admitted to the hospital for a severe UTI during the first three months of life. Severe UTIs early in life can lead to kidney problems later on.

Prevention of penile problems. Occasionally, the foreskin on an uncircumcised penis may narrow to the point where it's difficult or impossible to retract, a condition called phimosis. Circumcision may then be needed to treat the problem. A narrowed foreskin can also lead to inflammation of the head of the penis

Decreased risk of cancer of the penis. Although this type of cancer is very rare, circumcised men show a lower incidence of cancer of the penis than do uncircumcised men.

Slightly decreased risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Some studies have shown a lower risk of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and human papillomavirus (HPV) infections in circumcised men. Still, safe sexual practices are much more important in the prevention of STDs than is circumcision.

I'm cut - and I prefer being cut. I've heard that its erally unsanitary if your uncut (ever heard of "dick-cheese" ?). I don't know specific reasons, I havent really studied the subject.

I feel everything all over my dick, so i dont think it kills nerves or anything. I still get aroused. I still have totally mind blowing, roll your eyes back into your head, sream at the top of your lungs, arch your back orgasms.... So yeah.. I still feel "it". lol

I have heard one thing bad about being cut tho.. But I'm not sure if its true.. Being cut stops the dick from getting to its "fullest" erection size.. like... I am about 6 inches.. if I wasn't cut it may be 7 inches, or even 8... But i dont know if thats medical fact, or just a theory...

You can also get greasy hair if you don't use shampoo, and black stuff under your nails if you don't clean them.

Circumcised or not, bad hygiene is bad hygiene. Smegma will be secreted whether you have foreskin or not. The only difference if you are circumcised, is that it will end up on your underwear instead of the base of the glans.

I have personally never seen any "cheese" down there.

I'm circumsized, and I seem to be working fine. Doubt I'll have any sons circumsized if I have them, though.

Smegma isn't just a male thing. Females get it too if they have poor hygiene.
