Hi!

I'm in a long distance relationship. Well it's not really long distance but it's the summer. We go to the same college but live in different cities.

I'm not sure what it is but I feel not quite neglected, but more unappreciated. He loves me a lot but he doesn't express it as much as I'd like him to. How can I get him to express his love without directly telling him?

I've told him directly before and I've even sent him an e-mail about how to compliment! I can't make it any more obvious. Am I just wasting my time here?

Wow, getting men to change is a dangerous game. Give him time. You will never change a man. Don't think for a second that you have the ability to, because no woman can make a man change. It's impossible!

Well, people express love in different ways.. you have the people that show it verbally, some physically, some people show it by gestures (doing nice things for the partner)... You just have to figure it out how he expresses it, and try to adapt to that. Trying to make him change isn't the best solution.
