I don't know ... It seems like it'd be nice to reassure your friend that it's not her fault that she isn't invited. If she finds out about it, she could end up feeling like she did something wrong. At least by letting her know that her husband is an a-hole, this could prevent him from being such a d-head in future gatherings.

A lot of times, a-holes are oblivious to their a-hole-ness.
    no autographs, please!

I feel for you! I have three sisters, and we can never quite figure out how to exclude one of them who quite frankly doesn't really fit. (To make matters worse, she has a creepy boyfriend we christened "pimpin jesus" that she insists on taking everywhere.) One of my (other) sisters refuses to go on any girl trips without her, and another one won't go with her. So, we never get to go anywhere.

Sonrisa... to me... you already have a reasonable excuse not to invite her. I would let her know that you guys want to be happy while relaxing; you don't want to be offended or insulted. If your friend can't understand that then something is wrong with her. She shouldn't want her friends to be exposed to that on a vacation.
