What's too much?

I was just reading the "Sex Buddy" thread and someone said something along the lines of if you've had double digit sexual partners then you are a hedonist.

I am almost 24, so I have been sexually active for the better part of 8 years. I've had two serious girlfriends for a total of 3 years. My second girlfriend was my eighth partner in 7 years, and since we broke up almost a year ago, I've been with 7 new partners(and 2 prior ones). So this brings the total to 15 women in 8 years for an average of roughly 2 partners per year of sexual activity. So as far as the average goes that's pretty much a new partner every 6 months. Is that really so bad that you would hold it against someone, 2 partners per year?

I think so too, that's why I started this thread. I think I'm pretty normal, and was kinda surprised that simply hitting double digits was enough to disqualify me(or anyone else) from someone's dating pool.

What are other people's thoughts on this subject? I usually don't get asked this question, but I want to have an answer prepared in case it comes up. Any suggestions on how to tell the truth in a euphemistic way to someone who thinks this is a lot?
