I know life is short. And that's exactly why I'm not going to get married, have kids, work 9-5, retire, die. Like everybody else. Screw that.

Doing these things isn't a recipe for unhappiness, not for everybody. Maybe for you.

Keep in mind your friends will eventually get married and you will fall lower down their priority list. The right partner can be the greatest friend you ever had - I know mine is. The way I see it, I get to spend the rest of my life goofing off with my best friend, and there's sex too!

I've had a hard time getting a grip on the idea I'll be 30 in a few months. It doesn't make sense to me, because I'm sure I was in high school two years ago.

Okay, so it took you a little longer than most people. Don't worry about it. The important thing is you graduated.
