I found out today from a trusted person in my workplace (a manager that really likes me) that several people have been taking things I say and twisting it back to the main boss in an attempt to sabotage my career.
I'm only six months into my position and I've been kicking serious ass at it (with not much effort, honestly) and that's pissed off the people who've been in the position longer. There's been talk of my future promotion and they're trying to make sure I don't move up.
I know I can't do anything except keep on keepin' on and not buying into the drama, but GOD DAMN do I want to rip a few people a new asshole!!!! I can't believe people are so ****ing catty and ridiculous.

People can only twist what you say to a certain point as long as you choose your words carefully.
Yes, there's nothing you can do, nor would you want to sink to that level, but knowing is half the battle. Watch what you say and keep notes if anything weird goes on.
