I have that. I never read the original, though. Think I'll watch the movie first so I can appreciate the zombie version.
God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

I am a MAJOR Jane Austen fan, and the zombie thing just makes it better. I'll move on to Sense and Sensibility and Seamonsters next.
I also just picked up the new book by the author who wrote The Time Traveler's Wife. I'll have to start that one on a Friday because I'll probably stay up too late reading it.

I started re-reading Catch 22 after Fras posted a comment on it somewhere. A bit through the book I watched the movie again and realized how crap it was and how many great bits from the book it was missing.
Stuff like:
Dear Mrs., Mr., Miss, or Mr. and Mrs. Daneeka:
Words cannot express the deep personal grief I experienced when your husband, son, father or brother was killed, wounded or reported missing in action.
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil
