    I would have been really, really scared - especially if i heard people talking about how i might not recover and whether or not to pull the plug!

    To hear things in a book would be pretty interesting - i've heard a similar story about a woman who fell into a strange sleep and heard the paramedics pronounce her dead - but actually, her breathing was so shallow that it couldn't be felt and a the pulse was so weak it couldn't be felt either.
    She was in a morgue for 3 days before she was able to move and said that it was so tramatising that she couldn't even speak about how she felt and what she thought and saw.
