You're young, so you're blissfully ignorant; your parents seem to not be too responsible (probably drink too much Vodka on a daily basis), since you're proof that they didn't specifically teach you that: MONEY isn't everything. MONEY is NOT the key to TRUE happiness!
Money does NOT buy TRUE happiness; it only purchases material things which temporarily distract depressed people from their sad, lonely state of mind.
To build one's happiness upon riches and financial wealth would be no different than building one's house on a foundation of sand.
