monday i survived the weekend hope everyone else did

yeah i did alright i had to wrk, hung out studied for finals and survived a nasty break up! But i had great support from some new friends so im holding up ok. Today is my written final!!!!!!

This weekend we had a surprise B-day party for my Mom who turned 50 on Friday! We had some family from Chihuahua come over and we had a full house...a full 4 houses! It was nice, everything turned out pretty good. I'll put up some pics soon.

Oh gosh, you SO remind me of my ex. Everytime we talk he keeps saying how "old" he is. What is it about you twenty-somethings constantly "whining" about being old (however, it's just plain gloating - "look how wise I am, baby"). Honestly, it's just adolescence.

And oh yeah, you did miss out on studying abroad! Travelling is so much fun! I've spent the past year in Denver but I still feel like I'm on vacation! And I simply love going home for vacation - seeing all the pretty faces - and then going back. I feel so glamorous. Mom calls me up everyday and I tell her about all the "funky" stuff that goes on here, and then she calls all of her friends and they gossip.

It's pretty funny actually - I get so much respect. All of my mom's friend's daughters try to act like me (and mom LOVES being all smug and authoritative - "No, Juliet only read Cosmopolitan, but now she's more into Vogue...you know they all love her out there" or "No, Juliet goes with the South Beach diet - that's the new trend out there") *cracks up*

Hmm.. good point. there may be some truth to what you said. Maybe I do like my age and am looking for someone to say "No, you're not old. You're just experienced". Or maybe it's that I really feel like I'm getting older than I'd like to be. Whether it is any of these, it's subconcious.

Conciously I always say age doesn't bother me..and sometimes I'll point out my age just for a gag or maybe to prove to myself I really don't care and I can have fun with it.

But I'll have to think about that one.
