I like her, how can I find out if she likes me back?

So lately I've been interested in a girl in my class. She joined my class about a year ago and she was obviously interested in me, she showed every possible sign. But she's quite shy and I am too so we barely even talked. Lately she hasn't been as interested but still when I look at her on the other side of the room she looks back and smiles most of the time. Today both of us were waiting for a teacher to arrive (only the two of us) so we small talked for a while or so. I can still feel some interest from her, but it's difficult - we have a lot of exams for the next few weeks so none of us will have much spare time to get to know each other.

She's from another country and interracial relationships are looked very down on here, there's a lot of racism here (she has a darker skin color, I'm white while she's from Persia I think). Would there be a culture crash? Also I often see her talking on the cell phone 8when not in class), she speaks Persian but I can't nderstand it. Could she been talking to her bf, if she ahs one?

What should I do? I want her, but I'm a bit unsure on how she feels.

Well she speaks our language well so i think she was brought up around here. Besides, wouldn't it be very expensive to call from Europe to iran all the time?

It's difficult to know when to talk to her... we won't see each other again this week and enxt week we both have 3 exams. After that there's only 2 more days before Christmas break. Should I talk to her then? How can i express myself?

Unfortunately Deux ex Machina has the only reasonable "tip". If you can't muster the courage to just talk openly to her then there is no magic way around it.

She's probably talking Farsi to her parents, thats what second generation immigrants do, they speak their parent's language at home and their country's language at work/school.

The only way to find out is to make a move: grow some nuts.
