Hie all.. i need ya to listen to my story~

I've had a bad experience in love a few months back. This girl called 'A' was the one closest to my heart that no other girl have ever gone to. We had alot of great times and as time gradually pass, the love seems to fade and we got further apart. Finally, things got so stale that i decided to stop contacting her because getting close to her will only make it harder to leave.

Life goes on and recently, she got attached to this guy. It hurts when i see them around so loving but thats the decision she made. I could only move on..(though its hard..) A few weeks later, a friend of mine gave me a girl's number 'B'. I've only known her for a week and we started sms-ing and called each other a few times. At first i'm interested in this B but after awhile, i do not know why the interest died down. I still want to know B but theres something in me that makes me not interested. I do not know if its cause i get bored easily or that she cant match up to A.

I want to move on but theres something holding me back on creating this new relationship. Can anyone give me advise? Thank you.

They say it takes 2 years to completely get over someone that you truly loved... more or less depending on how close you were to them and how you are. It might be just too soon to move on for you. It is somewhat unhealthy to do the rebound thing, it usually doesn't last long because you are still in love with girl A.

Get over A and then look at getting back into a long term relationship, it doesn't necissarily mean you have to wait 2 years but you really have to put her behind you and get it out of your mind. I think a sign of when you are over A would be when you can see her with another guy and not be jealous. Its something you're gonna have to work on man, every single time you think of her conciously remind yourself that you are DONE with her and she is in the past, don't let your mind dwell on her, its unhealthy.

As for B, you should explain that you just got out of a relationship and you don't want to do the unhealthy rebound thing. Ask her if its ok if you two go slow at first untill you're sure your heart is healed, explain to her that you just don't want to end up hurting her. If she isn't willing to go slow, don't sweat it man, there are pleanty more fish in the sea.

    Hope this helps,
    Tennyson

Just be honest- you wouldn't want to hurt B just b/c A hurt you. You know how much that sucks- don't let her get too attached if you know it's not going anywhere right now
It's not a matter of what is true that counts but a matter of what is perceived to be true.

Thanks for your tips guyz. They say time will heal all wounds. Well its only partly true for me. I can try not to think about it but when i sometimes do, it brings back alot of wonderful memories which i tried to hide at the back of my head. Its not good i know but i cant help it sometimes. I'm happy for her that she has found someone and since shes moved on, so should i.

I would realli wanna know B and i could only hope i wont have second thoughts later..

No... but if you don't do anything about it, it can take up to two years. When you feel you are ready to move on, and you are done thinking about her all the time is when you are ready to get another girlfriend, but you might not be completely over her for much longer. You might still dream of her every now and then, and every so often a song will take you back.

I agree with the first response. However, do not get caught up on "recovery time" two years or two months, it varies. I think you should be honest with person B. And I think you may want to try dating...trying out, causually meeting a couple people. I do not think that you are ready for a relationship. However, you can still keep your mind off of A and put yourself out there--you never know you may meet someone who fits better than A.

Nameless18, i know how you feel man
What happened to you happened to me

I was in love with this girl but then as time passes i guess she lost interest in me
I couldnt get her out of my mind, n i had to go through REALLY tough times
and just 3 weeks ago i've found out that she is in a relationship...
It really hurts my heart to see that she loves another guy

I wonder to myself why she chose that guy and not me...
then i said to myself that i'll be a better person and forget about her
i know its not an ez task but it took me a while to just not think of her
i still think about her from time to time but im sure time will surely be the cure to your wound

Hey sorry i took so long to reply you guyz. Been busy recently. Firstly thanks alot for e help and advises you all gave me and i hope to get her out of my mind and get a fresh start in a relationship when i'm ready. Its true. I tried goin out another girl but it simply feels weird and i don't have the interest in her. I wonder why i'm going out with her in the first place. maybe just to fill up the hole within me?

guy.. what you said is exactly what happened to me. guess im not the only one who's feelin like shite around here. haha. well people say time will heal all wounds but i believe that time can only make a person lose interest and feelings to another. I'll do my best to keep her out of my mind and not think too much about it though im not really sure how long it'll take. Wish me luck~!
