its heading for a breakup again!

hi guys, after a nearly 7 yr relationship thats been very off and on, we really talled a few months ago, he knows he s a commitment phobic, cant leave home or his mom, (he is 35) says he d like to and have a normal relationship with me but explained how hard it is at that age to cut those apron dtrings. he asked me to be supportive and patient. he sugested he moves in with me every other week, which im not 100% happy about but im ok to go along with it as i know he does like his space and would find it very hard to do a 24/7 living together. he assured me it will start before the end of jan, so ive waited, got things sorted, we ve talked about rooms for space, absolutely everything to make it easy. then 2 weeks ago he just said he wanted space, says he wont be forced to come and it wont be by the end of the month now. its mad as it was his decision to say end of month! i asked if its cos of worry or fear? no its just space! the calls stopped, he is acting very odly, i even suspect its another woman as its happened before but he just wont say whats wrong, he just says nothing. i feel im stuck now as i have agreed to be understanding.
