Asking this girl out?

First, I want to mention that I made a commitment to not ask a girl out until I found someone that I thought I can be with for the rest of my life. I don't judge on physical or sexual qualities. I never got along so well with someone before like this girl. Now I think I found that "someone".

I am a college student and have been great friends with this girl for a while. We always eat dinner together and we can talk about anything. I really like to start officially dating this girl, but I am not sure how to ask. I can remember a year or so ago that she wasn't interested of having a boyfriend. I just don't want to screw this opportunity up.

Would this be a "Would you like to have a movie date" deal? Or should I tell how I feel and how special she is to me?

You dont do that kind of stuff dude. Youre in the friend zone right now and you have to break through that. If you tell her how you fell. That will give a lot of pressure on her. Just go out and then hold her hand while walking. She should know whats going on. If you tell her what you really feel. you would show all your cards. Girls likes it when you dont show all your cards and you make them confuse.

David is right, don't tell her how you feel so soon. Just go out and have fun and she'll know by your actions that you're into her. If you feel like you're pushing yourself too far, relax and back up for awhile.

I completely agree! Just do little things that give her clues that you like her. You'll know pretty quickly whether or not she shares the same feelings from her actions. Holding her hand during a movie date is a great way to start.
