I'm progressively getting drunker by the minute on Pisco as I fret about my friends and family all vacationing as a pod just outside Concepcion.
No landline services, no mobile towers are functioning, and the fellow who normally carries his lappy with him everywhere decided to leave it at home for the peace and quiet (3G is apparently functioning in some towns and cities).
I'm also checking back with Google News to see if we're due for the tsunami here in Australia.
It's a ****ing small world.

dammit... so there was an earthquake in chile... and now here in hawaii we've got a tsunami warning. dammit, they are closing the f*cking roads and the grocery stores are packed... i have enough liquor for tonight, but this is just irritating....
EVERYTHING IS CLOSED, the gym, the mall, the stores... i feel like i'm in the stone ages again.

We got a tsunami warning here too. I live on a groundfloor apartment right on the beach. If we ever got hit with a bad one, my whole apartment would be underwater.
Anyway, they've cleared the whole beach, no one in the water. Kind of weird on a hot sunday.Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

Tomorrow night cleaning up and decorating the condo for my roommates sons 4th bday party. Probably will go over to Borders and pick up a new book. Maybe hit the gym.
Saturday, birthday party here with about 7 kids. My bf's girls are going to grandma's so we get a real live date night. Its been a long time. Although I will miss getting to hear about the 6 year olds first tooth fairy visit.

A quiet weekend, this weekend. I'm trying to stay off the booze.
I went to visit a good mate who's just gotten himself landed in hospital with an infected knee. Came home and cleaned my house, and then went to yoga. Now I'm about to go and have dinner at my parents' place, then meet my sister and one of our mutual friends for a quiet drink.

Today I have a shortish work day. Going to the gym and running around a bit after work. My roommate is making chicken salad apparently. Kind of random of him but he's a good cook.
Saturday I work for a bit then napping. I bought this huge 3 lb chicago style pizza and testing out a bottle or two of new wines at my bf's house.
