but i dont think he is sleeping with anyone else (read my post in dating for the full story) its just me. hes a party boy and i think he is scared of being changed or getting hurt?

Not that im saying i know what hes up to all the time, but when hes not around me he is usually having people round his and smokig/drinking etc, usually guys (apart from weekends then is open for anyone). You are looking for a complicated answer where there is none. He doesn't want a serious relationship. Take it as that. He probably thinks you are nice, but is respecting you by being upfront about the fact that at the present he is not good boyfriend material.
Sounds like you're looking for a way to convince him that you'd be good together. Nothing good will come of it if you have to persuade him. You'd much rather him come to you on his own.
