500 Days of Summer

I just watched this movie with a group of friends. It was a cute movie, and I thought it was a great twist to the standard romantic comedy format.

After the movie, we were all discussing the culpability of Summer in breaking Tom's heart. Some of my friends thought she was a terrible horrible person, while others felt it was his fault for getting involved after she was pretty clear that she didn't want a relationship with him. I agree with the latter position. Granted, she probably could have been a bit kinder, but I don't think she was evil or cruel, just maybe a little inconsiderate.

For those of you who have seen the movie, do you agree or disagree?

The reality of a lot of people's lives i guess. When it seemed like things would work out, she took all the hope away. She was quite inconsiderate.

Summer's actions didn't match her words. She gave a mixed message and really ****ed with Tom's head. She was emotionally irresponsible. The fact that she married someone else just a few months after meeting him is evidence enough that she was unstable.

It is romantic comedy-drama film.It was written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber,i loved that movie so much but I felt so bad for Tom and I started hating Summer because of what she did to him.I have seen this movie two times.

you better not be serious about that. haven't you ever been in a situation when you find a man and become infatuated with him, have loads of fun, but then you meet that ONE person who fits the profile of a husband instead of your little crush?
if haven't then the reality is, there are MANY men that a girl can fool around with, and only a handful who are suited for a husband.
