Need Some Advice

Hi all My name is Kelvin and i sorta need some advice. This girl caught my attention in school (college) been in two of her class, last month i notice she started taking interest in me, such as (excessive staring at me, literally turn around stare at me, laugh at my jokes, turns away when i saw her looking at me, spoke with me then turn and giggle with her friend) so i look back at her and stuff. But a week ago i added her on facebook saw her relationship status she apparently dating someone so i'm wondering
What is her intention or point when she already dating someone. ?

She is just being friendly and you have interpreted her friendliness to mean more.

Girls can actually talk to a guy, laugh at his jokes and be nice to him, without there being any motive behind it

They can also talk to you, laugh at your jokes and be nice to you, without wanting to date you.
