There is no period of time that suffices. To release him at all is reprehensible. He hurled a nine month old baby onto the highway. No prison sentence can ever make up for that.

I agree that it's morally reprehensible what he did but so is raping and robbing, etc etc... One has to ask:
1- Is the child ok? Has the child suffered any projected long term physical or mental impairments?
2- What was circumstances surrounding the event happening? (ie. was it premeditated? Is there mental illness involved? etc etc)
3- Is this a history of this sort of child abuse being perpetrated by the offender?
4- Has this sort thing happened to the perpetrator in his youth?
5- Is there a genuine remorse for the action?
These are things for the judge and jury to investigate and render a suitable and fair decision with the goal of that man not feeling compelled to reoffend after his sentence has been served. If they believe that he will, especially with any prior convictions, then they'll have to rule accordingly.
Mob rule and/or revenge has no place in justice.
And how does locking him up for a period of time address the fact that he threw a baby onto the highway? I think locking him up is pointless. He's not going to learn a thing in jail.

Why do people like this have kids? why did the mother allow him to do that to the baby...if it were me he would have to throw me out of the car first before he managed to get to my baby.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Through rehabilitation-counseling and time to work himself out/reflect.
Pardon the pun, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. While many fear him reoffending, has anyone considered the impact he could in educating others about anger and domestic abuse should he go on to help other men and women after time served?
This is still a human being.
Again, what he was alleged to have done is definitely wrong and it requires action.
Throwing him in jail and the key away is no different than what he did, and humanity would be the worse for it.
Even with parole, he may never be ready to leave. That's up to his soul.

That puzzles me as well. I've known a girl who lived with a body builder (who reminds me a lot of Neo) who punched a hole in her bathroom door the size of a watermelon with his bare hands while she was locked and hiding from him. (I still have a photo of it somewhere) She's still living with him. I've come to a conclusion, they do it because they like that kind of drama, it exhilarates them and makes them feel radical. They must like the sensation of living vicariously through the eyes of an unstable psycho who doesn't take shit from anyone. It makes them feel powerful by proxy.

First of all, life in prison means he doesn't come out.
Second of all, if you seriously can't tell the difference between someone who isn't for the death penalty and someone who murders small children, then you have serious intellectual and moral problems, and that would be scary if it wasn't completely ridiculous.
Third of all, being this eager to put everyone to death only further validates this notion that murder is acceptable when someone violates your moral code. And its not a big leap for someone else to see that principle in action and apply it to their daily life / approach to conflicts. You might not see a problem with it in this instance, but this isn't the only scenario on earth.

Suffice to what? Change his behavior? I doubt that very seriously.
Now I get to play the Abused Child card. I know what it's like to live with a violent, volatile ogre for the entirety of my childhood. These people are fundamentally different from the rest of us. They DON'T feel remorse. They may learn to emulate remorse if it serves their purposes, but the kind of person who habitually hurts other people is ****ed in the head and should be removed from society. Permanently.

Executed, imprioned for life, worked to death. I don't care about the specifics, so long as he is removed from society permanently. Anyone who would defend him, anyone who would see him one day free, scares me.

For me he's not different than a woman that does late pregnancy abortion... What is the difference between not fully formed baby and a baby that went out through vagina.
At best I wish that such people would never born, but they are... Death is actually the best solution for them. For such crime I would rather close them in a prison ,1mx1m cell,5 hours of sleep and the rest work, water and bread to eat and that's all. I bet they would wish to die,but I wouldn't let them die,I would let them regret this very much till the end of their very long time.
I wazzzz here![]()
You should watch a movie called a Law Abiding Citizen if you haven't seen it yet Gribble.
