Two days ago, April 23rd, scientist at CERN confirmed that they created a particle of matter and antimatter out of pure energy. I think this is a very important day for science, because this confirms Einstein's mass-energy equivalence theory and hell, humans have created matter!
Well, I've been 2 days watching the news on Tv in order to find out if they have said a word about this. None.
Seriously, what the hell? Does this just happen in this country, or the whole word thinks it's more important to know that a stupid bullfighter got injured by a bull?

No, I haven't heard anything. The only time I saw it on the tube was when Hadron Collider failed. And a time before that when someone mentioned that it may rip a hole in space / time continuum with anti matter or suck our planet into somekind of a man made black hole.

I remember being rather upset when Isaac Stern died a few days after September 11 and the only mention on the news was a little tiny scrolling news item on the bottom of the screen.

This is why I don't watch TV no more. Get the stuff on the web without having to live through sixteen layers of bullshit and 30% of the airtime being commercials.

I do like watching The Situation Room and NBC Nightly News...yea there is some bs but I also like to get my news from multiple sources...I also read the paper *gasp*...yep if any of you remember its that thing that the news used to be written all over and people used to read.
Of course I'm a nerd who loves politics and current events so I think multiple sources are important for really seeing an issue. I also watch BBC every once in a while to see how and outside perspectives views and issue.Completely baffled by a backward indication
