We would rather not but each of us is allowed to want different things. Don't go trying to influence her to want to know if she's being cheated.
I believe that happiness is energy, if my energy is affected by anything negative then i emit negative energy. Which is not beneficial for me or anyone around me. Basically I have a philosophy that if there's nothing positive to say, please keep it to yourself. Of course I do listen to my friends complain. And only rarely I allow myself to vent or blow up.

if the wife knows, then she knows...it's no hair off ruth's back
OK, well I was only saying.....!!!!

Indeed she may not know, but then she may and not feel a need to be sharing her innermost thoughts and fears with her friend.

I know that when it was happening to me, the last thing I did was rush around informing all of my friends that I thought my husband was cheating. I kept it to myself. Yeah...I know not everyone is like me.

While we can be aware our partners may be cheating, we are also at same time in denial that would ever cheat on us and we tend to brush these things aside and to the back of our minds. We tend to think we are imagining it all....

But yeah, she might suspect, she may not.....nobody knows for sure, only Ruth. And whether people here would choose to tell her or not, rests with the individual and their reasons/concerns for telling her/not telling her.

I told my best friend when i found out his wife was cheating. At first i wasnt sure, but decided that he needed to know and make his own choices. There was no way i would not tell a friend just at the risk of falling out over it. I think it should be the same for man or woman, kids or no kids- your friend needs to know to make her own decision on what she will do.

I was thinking exact same and when I was reading earlier.

They make these threads, but never return for the advice....I wonder why that is?

still doesn't give a reason to NOT tell her. like i said, if she knows, then she knows...if ruth chooses to think "oh well she probably already knows" when she doesn't, then she is doing her friend a disservice.

They never seem to come back though. I've noticed that a few times on here where people will post, a storm brews because it's a subject where people will agree and disagree and opinion clashes strongly....and the OP never returns. Bit odd don't you think?
