Does she really like me?

Hello everyone.

So there's this girl. We haven't always been all that close up but, in the past few months, our friendship has really blossomed. It started out with a text every now and then, but now, we text almost every day. We have a lot in common, and, when the two of us along with a few others were hanging out and she needed a place to sit (Yes, other guys were present), she chose to sit on my lap rather than sit close with one of her girlfriends and she just hung out there for over an hour. We were cuddling and whatnot.

Now I'm thinking of asking her out, but I've always been a bit apprehensive when it comes to this stuff. Should I just do it? I'd rather live with regret than wondering "what if", but do you think the feelings really are mutual? I'm hoping I'm not just over analyzing some weird women signals and am totally off-base as to the whole situation.

She's never been one to cuddle with any of the guys that are mutual friends of ours. When we're in groups, she's always been the one to either have her space or cuddle up with one of her girlfriends, but I've never seen her cuddle up to anyone until she did with me. I think I'm just going to go for it. Open up and hope for the best. I've just got to remember to be confident. Don't be all "Hey, I really like you, and, even if you don't feel the same, I just wanted to clear the air." (I would think giving them any signal that you aren't confident that the feelings are mutual, even if they aren't, would put them off a bit.) but be more like "Hey, I'm just looking to be honest here. I like you. I like you who you are, what you stand for. Your personality, your interests. You're incredibly beautiful and I just can't go another day keeping my feelings bundled up."

This isn't something I've done more than once or twice in life, but I've always been one who is able to think on their feet, so I think I'll manage.

I'm not a woman, but, she's into you dude. Touch is generally a good sign. If you text everyday, and want to see if she's really that interested, don't text her back for a wee while, busy yourself if you don't want to lie, and see how she reacts.
