What music do girls like generally?

Alright, so I was driving my gf to dinner, with our friends ( it was a double date). So when she gets in my car, after a few minutes of driving and deciding that nothing she liked was on the radio, she switched to my CD...bad move. Long story short, she gives me this face ---> O_O and after a few seconds of the song, turned off the stereo.

So I was wondering, do you ladies/girls not like rap in general?

I can't think of anyone other than 14 year olds who likes it, no matter their sex.

What do kids talk about these days? Hell, I'm 30 and still talk about music with my boyfriend. Just ask her what she likes. Make her a mixed cd for when she's in your car. Does your car only carry AM stations? I find it hard to believe she didn't find ANYTHING she liked.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I would rather sit in silence than listen to (c)rap.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Sitting in silent can be the nicest thing to do if you get to listen to water flowing and such :-P

It depends. Everybody has different music they like. I have some friends who only listen to new music, some who absolutely LOVE old music and some friends like me who love music in general- we'll listen to whatever you have, in whatever language you have it in. But for me I personally like music that has a good beat to it cause it makes you feel like dancing ♥

I used to love rap when i was younger because my brother was all "gangster" and whatever. I still do like some rap songs but not all... But i'll listen to it if its the only thing you've got.

There are certain genres that are more appealing to men than women, like death metal and punk. And it seems like women generally like Top 40 music more than men. But individual tastes vary considerably.

Well if it's for a date, something nice and fun and happy hopefully, haha. Unless you're both into a certain type, then choose that. Could have share maybe? (Like "you're into this, so we can play it on the way there, and we can play my favorite on the way back" or something) I'm not a huge rap fan to answer that one.
