Funny, when I first got married I was proud to be in the group referred to as "pussy whipped". It meant I was getting what I wanted and she was getting what she wanted too. I laughed when people laughed.

i'd say there is definitely a power struggle between my boyfriend and i. we both have a "fight to the death" mentality in certain situations because neither of us want to admit that we are wrong. so in that sense, we're pretty equal haha. but we have been getting much much better lately. i'm starting to feel REALLY happy about where we're going in the relationship...it's amazing

No shit. Still, it makes for interesting, if frustrating, arguments.

We're pretty equal, but he still ****s up more, so he gets in trouble more. It almost never happens, but when it does, I feel like some kind of disappointed parent.

Why is it considered us screwing up more vs. some girls being overly anal and picky? I guess I'm in the whipped club as well, but sometimes I wish that she would just learn to relax and chill out a bit.

    Anyways, what about you?
I think people often choose their opposites so they don't have to develop certain traits they find uncomfortable. For example, a passive guy often pairs himself up with an assertive girl so he can remain passive and not be responsible for making decisions on his own.

The problem with this is that as you grow up into your 30s, some people WANT to strengthen their weaknesses, and they end up resenting their partner for the very thing that attracted them in the beginning.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Vashti pretty much spot on there i can think of many examples like that...

In most scenarios i know the man starts as dominant when chasing after that the women takes control.

some times its better to know when to pick your battles for the most part i'm easy going. If my GF says something crazy, I'm thinking ok whatever. Then I agree with her most of the time just so she'll shut the hell up

^^^ That's not good. You will eventually voice that "shut the hell up" instead of agreeing and internalizing it.

We're getting to a point in our relationship, after 2 long years together, where we will either move to the next level of commitment, or we will stop seeing each other, and if she is going to continue with that attitude, it's probably best if we split up. I've started becoming more rebellious and instead of listening to her, I've been fighting for what I want. This has caused a lot of recent arguing and she is very angry at my 'behavior' as she calls it, like I'm a naughty dog or something lol.
Just got out of a relationship exactly like this. It happens.
