If a single guy who you've been FB friends with for a while but never really talked to started poking you out of the blue (in other words, trying to express his love for you and to get your attention), what would you think? Cute? Creepy?

The hell is poking?
Like posting comments?
No, you press a button on the person's profile and it pretty much lets them know that you're thinking about them. They can poke back or dismiss it.
So poking someone and expressing love are synonyms these days?
And expressing love is creepy?
He could be a shy guy who finally decided to make an effort for you. Or maybe it's innocent and he wants to be friends.
You'll never know unless you talk to him.
A friend of mine once expressed his love for a girl by hiring a flower company to decorate her garden.
She didn't love him back. In fact she made fun of his effort, broke his heart and enjoyed calling him a creep in college.
The key to being attractive seems to be about not making any effort, not showing any interest and simply not caring
poking=facebook flirting
its kind of a lame way of flirting in my opinion
i have never been poked....does that make me a virgin? 40 year old virgin?
The male is a domestic animal which, if treated with firmness, can be trained to do most things
My mom poked me on Facebook. Should I be concerned?
Poking on fb is stupid. Some people don't know when to stop and you have to hold their poke like for eternity so they will stop to poke you.
I wazzzz here
I don't think it's annoying, in fact I hardly ever notice it. I just found out today that my mother poked me 3 months ago, lol. The reason? I went on Facebook to see what it means to have a good poking.
He probably does want to 'poke' you, but not in the way that you're thinking.
If you don't like it, ignore it...
If you like it poke him back
I don't think it's the same as "expressing your love"
I see it as teasing. Maybe he hopes it will break the ice.
desperate.. love just doesn't fall out of the sky. it has to be earned.

...this is just my perspective on the situation...
