    Another one down

One of the guys I rode with passed away this weekend after overshooting his turn and crossing the double yellow into traffic. I wasn't there because I had a last minute change of plans, glad to say I didn't have to see this one.

I don't understand, this is the second major incident in the past year and the same guys still go out and rail the mountain roads. I learned my lesson and it frustrates me because some of the people on the ride this weekend saw the aftermath of my wreck. The guy that died was a newer member and I feel like some of the veteran guys lead him to his death in a way. It pisses me off, but its not really something I can control. I can only be responsible for myself, but I can't stand sitting back and watching people learn what I did in the same fashion I did.

I just have to vent, I want to scream at a handful of people right now.

How devastating. It's so sad to see such young people kill themselves.

    I'm really sorry, Cbrider.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Bikes are safe if you aren't a daredevil. Cbrider's friend was doing mountain passes, and that's really dangerous. There is always some level of risk involved when you operate any kind of vehicle, even a bicycle. You just have to use good perception, trust your wits, and be cautious. Use your judgment when deciding when or where you're going to do it.

Funeral was today, I listened to a 15 year old read a goodbye to her dad with full composure then have a full breakdown in front of 150 people.

Saddest thing I think I have ever seen. No child should be put through this.

Glad to hear Giga had her baby!
